First Flutter is a free mobile app available on iOS and Android. Parents use it from the moment they find out they're pregnant through the first years of their child's life.
The app includes over 20 tools and trackers — due date calculators, contraction timers, kick counters, feeding logs, sleep trackers, wake window calculators, growth percentile charts, allergen introduction trackers, and more.
Because parents use these tools daily — sometimes multiple times a day — First Flutter has a level of engagement that a passive directory never achieves. When a parent finishes timing their contractions and needs a doula, your listing is one tap away.
Your listing is shown to parents based on their location and stage of pregnancy or parenting — so a pregnant parent in Cranbourne at week 32 sees local doulas and birth photographers, not sleep consultants for toddlers.

How long does approval take?
We aim to review all new listings within 24 hours on business days. You'll receive an email notification as soon as your listing is approved.
How exactly do parents find my listing?
Parents find you inside the First Flutter mobile app. First Flutter is a free pregnancy and newborn toolkit — parents use it to time contractions, calculate their due date, track feeds, and more. When they need professional support, they can search our directory of local providers directly inside the app. Your listing appears based on their location, stage of pregnancy or parenting, and the category you've listed under. A Featured listing gives you priority placement at the top of those results.
Do I need to pay to list my business?
No. A basic listing is completely free and stays free forever. The Featured plan ($79/month) gives you priority placement and additional tools, but it's entirely optional.
What is the 30-day money back guarantee?
If you upgrade to Featured and don't receive at least 5 new enquiries within your first 30 days, we'll refund your first month's payment — no questions asked. Just email us at hello@firstflutter.com.au.
Can I update my profile after it's approved?
Yes. You can edit your profile at any time through your dashboard. Changes go live immediately without re-review, unless you significantly change your category or business description.
Do you take a commission on bookings?
No. First Flutter is a directory and lead generation service. We connect you with parents, but the booking and payment happen between you and your client — we take no commission.
What areas do you cover?
We currently focus on Melbourne and surrounding suburbs. We're expanding to Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth in late 2026.
Can I list in multiple categories?
Currently each provider has one primary category. If you offer services across multiple categories (e.g. a doula who also does newborn photography), contact us at hello@firstflutter.com.au and we'll help you set up your listing correctly.
